Ounaje Dandridge

When I grow up I will be the greatest scientist that ever lived.  I am so excited about this opportunity to attend the program at NASA Glen Research Center.  My mom and I went online to see what I will experience this summer.  The experiments I saw looked fun and interesting.  I can’t wait to learn how to conduct real science experiments from actual scientists that work for NASA.

I am a High Academic Achieving Knight.  This means I achieved advanced test scores on my state standardized test.  My math scores qualified me for the Gifted and Talented program in my district.  It was through this program that I began to do more scientific research.  My mom says engineering will combine my two favorite subjects, math and science.  She says engineering is like having the best of both worlds.

I know that my parents don’t have a lot of money to send me to programs like the one at NASA Glen Research Center, but I really want to attend.  My mom says if I keep working hard I can earn scholarships to attend programs like this and it will help me make my dreams of being a scientist come true.  I should be chosen for this program because I work hard and I love science and math.  No matter what happens, I will continue to work hard and I will become the greatest scientist that ever lived.
